Product Care and Repairs

Jewelry Care and Repair Policy

Quality and craftsmanship is a top priority.  Our jewelry is created in a wide range of materials. Please remember all of our jewelry is handcrafted and can be very delicate.  Properly caring for your pieces will help preserve their unique look and wearability. This includes removing jewelry before bathing, swimming, washing your hands or working out. Additionally, certain oils, lotions and perfumes may affect plated pieces. Keeping your jewelry in a plastic bag when not being worn can help slow any tarnishing. Using a polishing pad or cloth can help to keep sterling silver and 14kt gold-filled pieces gold looking new. Only use a jewelry cleaner that is safe for the material of your jewelry and gemstones.

We will repair any jewelry purchased through our online store.
Please email us if you would like to request a repair. Repair on jewelry may be subject to a charge depending on the nature of the damage and the time since purchased.  Shipping charges may also be incurred.

More Specifics on Caring for CYNTHIA BLOOM COLLECTIBLE JEWELRY

LAST ON, FIRST OFF — As much as you love your jewelry, please don't wear it 24/7. Make it the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off.

KEEP IT CLEAN — Using a dry soft cloth to gently wipe your jewelry will help to maintain the original lustrous finish.

KEEP IT DRY — You wouldn't jump in the shower or pool with your favorite high heels, so please don’t do it with your jewelry. Make sure to remove jewelry before swimming or applying products such as perfume, hairspray, soap or lotion, as these could harm and reduce the life of the jewelry.

Cleaning and Care of Swarovski Crystals

Swarovski crystals are not only revered for their quality, but also for their inexplicable beauty. These dazzling crystals can be found in many of our designs. Always avoid hard contact (i.e.: knocking against objects) that can scratch or chip the crystals. Store your jewelry in the original packaging or a soft pouch to avoid scratches. Using a dry soft cloth to gently wipe the crystals will help to maintain their original lustrous finish.

Cleaning and Care of Gemstones

Each gemstone is a unique gift from the earth and it is natural for them to vary ever-so-slightly in shape and color. We always pick out the most beautiful gems to include in our collection. To best care for your semi-precious stones, gently wipe with a soft dry cloth.

Cleaning and Care of Freshwater Pearls

The character of a freshwater pearl is found in its distinctive surface texture and the warmth of its luster. Perspiration, humidity, oils and lotions all affect your jewelry, so be sure to keep your freshwater pearls clean. Simply wipe with a soft cloth, microfiber jewelry cloth or chamois, either damp or dry. Avoid using cleaners, detergents, brushes and ultrasound cleaners.

Cleaning and Care of Bohemian Glass

Bohemian glass originated in the small Czech region of Bohemia in the 13th century and has since become famous for its colorful, richly decorated and delicate characteristics. Bohemian glass can be cared for by wiping gently with a soft dry cloth.

Cleaning and Care of Gold-filled Jewelry

Your gold filled jewelry should retain its beautiful luster without any special care. But, if your favorite piece needs a little brush-up, you can regularly wipe your jewelry clean with a soft polishing cloth to restore its shine.

Cleaning and Care of Sterling Silver

Tarnishing, or a darkening of the metal's surface, is more likely to occur when the silver is not used frequently. To minimize tarnish, store your jewelry in a dry area. Wiping off your sterling silver jewelry after you wear it will eliminate any lotion, perfume, or makeup that may have transferred from your skin, and will help to prevent tarnishing.
